Sarika’s was founded in 2020 by culinary virtuoso Jerome Horton as a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Sarika Matthews, and grandmother, Victoria Matthews. Raised in Brooklyn and now proudly serving Long Island, New York City, and the broader Tri-State area, Jerome built Sarika’s as a dynamic, mobile culinary brand—bringing authentic Caribbean flavor and global inspiration directly to your kitchen, event, or table. We are not a traditional brick-and-mortar storefront; instead, we meet you where you are, offering flexibility, convenience, and a personalized touch.

What began as a passion for well-seasoned, homegrown Caribbean cooking has expanded into a dual brand: Sarika’s Spices and Sarika’s Kitchen Catering. While our roots are grounded in Jamaican tradition, we are not limited to Jamaican cuisine. Sarika’s offers a versatile range of dishes and customizable menus inspired by Caribbean, American, and international flavors. Our premium, low-sodium spice blends—free from artificial sweeteners and flavorings—enhance every style of cooking.

Our debut product, the Jamaican Jerk Rub, remains the centerpiece of our spice collection—an aromatic, bold homage to Jamaica, the birthplace of jerk.
